• Training

  Ultimate frisbee originated in America and is quickly growing in popularity in Europe. There are now many club, university, and school tournaments across the country. The trainings in St Andrews are led by our elected captains and training coordinators who design the session plans.

  If you are a complete beginner to ultimate, there is no need to worry. Our club is incredibly welcoming to newcomers and our training sessions cater to everyone from beginner to advanced competitive levels.

  Training sessions are held multiple times throughout the week and consist of drills & games, where you can learn and practice as a team. We often run casual scrims on a weekly basis to hone our skills in a fun and recreational environment. Within the club there has been numerous international selections, some of whom only first started playing at St Andrews.

• Competition

  The club is divided into multiple Women’s and Open’s Teams, which compete in a number of events against UK and university teams throughout the year. We have a Competitive and Development squad, meaning we cater to all levels of ability ranging from advanced to complete beginner! The first teams compete at Division 1 BUCS tournaments, indoors & outdoors.

  Demonstrating great success over the years, both our men’s and women’s teams have been the highest ranking second team in the UK multiple times. We have also had several members go on to national representation. This past year has seen some exceptional results, with the Women’s first team winning silver medals at both outdoor and indoor nationals and all teams placing in the top 10 in their divisions.

  We also compete together in mixed tournaments as a great way for the men and women’s sides to learn from on another and have the chance to play as a whole club. This year our mixed team placed 9th at indoor nationals, and 5th the year before

• How to get involved

  Whether you are new to the sport or an experienced player, already attend the University or if you are thinking about attending, please get in touch to register your interest and find out more about our club.

  The University hosts a Sports Fayre at the beginning of each academic year during Orientation Week, giving prospective players the opportunity to talk to club members and sign up to ‘Give It A Go’ sessions.

  If you already have some ultimate experience, there is also the option to join our preseason that happens the week before fresher’s every year.
